These benefits have been familiar among psychologist since 19th century. For example, Carl Gustav Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, prescribed coloring to his patients to calm and center their minds.
The ability to complete a task successfully builds self esteem and confidence in young children. Coloring regularly and completing projects boosts a child’s sense of accomplishment and pride in themselves.
